About Course

Assist with Medication allows students to learn the fundamentals of appropriately administering and monitoring client’s medication. This will include, medication anatomy, medication safety, delivery systems, medication storage and infection control. Students also learn how to importantly find accurate medication information, develop an understanding for over the counter and prescribed medication, as well as, recognise, report and take action to allergic or other medication reactions.

Assist with Medication meets the NDIS Code of Conduct, Practice Standards and High Intensity Skill Descriptors. These can be found below in course outcomes.

This course is designed for healthcare workers who have completed medication training previously. We highly recommend that HLTHPS006 Assist Clients with Medication is completed as a pre-requisite.


Delivery Mode

This course is delivered face-to-face and no self-study is required.
