Some courses may require you to complete certain tasks before the first class.
These could include, pre-course reading, online modules, quizzes or forms.
Most training providers will send you this information in advance, but it’s always smart to double check.
👉 Tip: Visit your training provider’s website or contact them directly to confirm if any pre-course work is required. Completing this ahead of time prevents any delays and ensures a smooth commencement.
What To Bring To Class
The materials you’ll need can vary depending on the course. As a general rule, here are some of the essentials most students should bring to class:
A water bottle
Working pens and highlighters
A notebook or notepad
Snacks
Any required course materials or completed pre-course work
Enrolment or other supporting documentation
Laptop or tablet (if required)
Generally, your training provider will tell you what you should bring on the day based on what course you are enrolled into.
If you’re training provider hasn’t told you exactly what to bring, you can always reach out and ask.
Dress Code

Breathable/Comfortable: You’ll likely be moving around, so you want to wear something that doesn’t restrict movement.
Avoid Revealing Clothes: Your training environment is still a workplace, so it is important to remain presentable.
If your course requires specific attire, e.g., uniforms, you should receive that information ahead of your commencement date.
